Howdy, I go by my nickname that my Dad gave me - Skunk, I figure that no one will forget it or confuse me with someone else. I am the daughter of the well known cutting horse trainer Buster Smith who owned and trained the hall of fame AQHA Bueno Chex. I was born and raised around horses. I started riding by the time I could walk and started showing at age 6 up til I met and married my husband James in 1992, moved to california in 1994. We have been married 19yrs, have two great boys; Jared is 18yo and Jackson is 12yo. We moved back to Washington in 2002 and for me it was coming home. Since coming home, I have been living out my childhood dream and following in my Dad's footsteps. I have an amazing blessing of learning from one of the BEST Trainers/Dad in the world. I pray that I'll be half as good as he when I get to be his age.

I'm a people/critter person so I like meeting new people/critters. My favorite is the ol' timers w/ all their wisdom & stories.
